MidWinter 2008

February 1, 2008

Midwinter was a success!  We had campers in and out all weekend long!  Friday we had opening worship then we got to meet our small groups.  Followed by snack time, naturally, and some games.

Saturday we worshipped in the morning.  Had some small group time and went to Fun 'n Stuff.  We had a ball there, playing lazer tag, roller skating, playing video games, and much much more!  Rachel Landin's Mom, Kathy, made some fabulous meals for us!  We had a traveling worship service lead by Ruth Roth.  That was amazing!  We got to dump all the stuff on our plates into a trash can!  What a relief!  After sharing communion, we went a little wild and had a couple of mean rounds of capture the flag!  We had a gutter full of ice cream!  Yeah, I said a GUTTER!!!  We all layed around the gutter on the floor where there were toppings galore, and yes, we did use spoons.  Stacie Salyer might just be the best sardines player we know!  She hid and no one found her for about an hour and a half!  Awesome!  We slowed down after sardines and played some board games, did some catching up, and, as always there was some Euchre.

Sunday morning we had to CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN!  Then we rushed through breakfast and attended worship at 9:10.  NINE TEN!  It was a great service!  We sang a couple of our old camp songs for the congragation.  "Fill My Cup" and "If You Love Jesus"  lead by Kevin Jenkins.  After the service we all met in the youth room then went to our small groups till closing circle.

All in all we had a great time!  Thank you to everyone who attended!  Thank you to all who had us in your thoughts and prayers.

Sounds like a blast. I wish I could have made it.
