Devo 3
It was on my way out of the gate at Lakeside when I was desperately
looking for my gate pass so I could exit my little slice of heaven
and enter back into the real world when a strange thought filled
my head. I thought back to all the times I had received my gate pass
in the mail. It isn't the paper I look forward to but the thought
that soon I would be there. Institute. The only thing I really need
to get there is this pass. I will be let right in as long as I have
this gate pass. My soul is filled and energy is restored with the
thought that I will soon be surrounded by grace and love. Its like
a promise that I have a place with a special group that loves me,
warts and all, for who I am. I drop every thing and take that pass
and put it in my car so I won't lose it and when I get to the Lakeside
Gate, I'm in. Its with me always until I arrive.
Mark
10:15
I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little
child will never enter it."
I began to think wile I sat in line to exit. That powerful paper is a bit like
Christ. Without him, I am without direction, guidance and acceptance. He is the
gate pass. Without him I cannot enter the Big Gate. He is the invitation to eternal "Institute." Sent
from God to each of us where we live in the "Real World." Inviting
us, giving us permission, to enter the gate and live with him and his Dad in
the ultimate "Lakeside." All we need to do is accept the pass and keep
it with us always until its time to return.
So as I as I sit in traffic with one car left to go I flip my visor down and
low and behold two more gate passes are looking right at me. I need to clean
my car more often.
God has a way of putting an exclamation point in my life when he is sending me
a message.
I close my eyes and say a prayer of thanks for both gate passes.
The car in front of me moves.
"You leaving today?" the man at the gate asks me with a smile.
"Back to the real world. Do you need the pass back?" I ask.
"Nope. Keep it. Its yours." He replies.
"Great! Thank you, Have an awesome day. Hope to see you soon!" I reply.
"See you soon." He responds as I drive away with a huge smile on my
face.

Timothy 4:18
The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his
heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
My Gate pass is still sitting on my dash.
John
14:6
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to
the Father except through me.
"Welcome to Lakeside do you have a gate pass?"
"Right Here!"
Shalom,
Mike
