Scholarships and Financial Assistance
Here are 4 places you can check for
what is commonly called "camperships." These
are scholarships or financial assistance to summer camps.
1. Local Church Camp Funds
Many churches have scholarships to summer camps to encourage their
youth to go to a camp. Check with your pastor or youth director for
options.
2. District Camp Scholarships
In the United Methodist church, groups of churches are organized into
Districts. Many districts also have camping scholarships that are waiting
for someone to claim them. Check with your church office to find out
who to contact in your District for these funds.
3. Conference Financial Aid Application
Financial Aid Request Forms are available from the Camp Office
or your local United Methodist Church office. They have aid available
to youth
who have a financial need. Here is the Conference Financial Aid
Form.
4. Lakeside Institute Scholarships
If you don't go to church or need further assistance, Lakeside
Institute has a scholarship fund supported by youth who have
gone to camp in
previous years. They want to see you at camp. For more info.
about these scholarships, contact the Deans of Lakeside Institute.
